Description: Genex has an internship available in our Production Division at our Shawano, Wis., facility. The mission of the Sire Production Internship is to provide college students with exposure to and work experience in the areas of sire care and semen production.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
▪ Feeding and observing health status of sires
▪ Cleaning and bedding of sire barns
▪ Clipping and grooming of sires and mount animals
▪ Assisting with health testing and sire transportation
▪ Sire picturing activities
▪ Participating in sire collection activities

Other educational opportunities:
▪ A.I. training and certification
▪ Proper hoof trimming procedures
▪ Observe embryo transfer procedures and A.I. facility health test protocols
▪ Networking within CRI and Genex Divisions

Qualifications: Earning credit for internship toward degree is accepted for the Sire Production Internship. Currently enrolled at a two- or four-year college pursuing a degree in an agricultural-related field.

One position available for February through May 2010.
