Genex has an opening for a Genesis MOET Livestock Production Specialist at our Shawano, Wisconsin facility.  The mission of the Genesis MOET Department is to produce embryos and ET calves for production and sales.  Hours will be noon to 8:00 p.m.

Duties include, but are not limited:

§  Feed calves and observe health of calves in hutches.

§  Clean and bed calf hutches and barns.

§  Assist and administer health care to calves, as well as assist with health testing and transportation of calves and recipient heifers.

§  Facility maintenance and cleaning.

§  Participate in a team environment of problem solving.

§  Keep accurate computer records.

Other Educational Opportunities include AI training and certification.

Qualifications:

An agriculture background with an emphasis on livestock, a four-year degree in animal science is a plus, but not necessary.  Good mechanical skills and a CDL is preferred.
