New Genex Employees Complete Extensive Training Program

SHAWANO, Wis. — Five new employees of Genex Cooperative, Inc. recently completed a two-week training program held at the headquarters in Shawano. Employees had the opportunity to increase their knowledge of cattle reproductive anatomy and physiology, heat detection, synchronization, semen handling, artificial insemination, and dairy and beef genetics.

Those completing the training program include Reproductive Technicians Megan Myers of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Steve Valente of Sonora, California; Reproductive Program Technicians Ben Miller of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, and Scott Feathers of New Enterprise, Pennsylvania; and Reproductive Program Senior Technician Brenda Gastelum of Clovis, Minnesota.

The program emphasized qualifications needed for the employees to provide effective cattle reproductive services on Genex members' dairy farms and beef ranches across the U.S.
