Barnes joins GENEX Beef team

John-Barnes-GENEX.jpgSHAWANO, Wisconsin — John Barnes of Autryville, North Carolina, is welcomed as a new Area Sales Manager for GENEX. Barnes will lead the cooperative’s beef sales and service team in the Southeast U.S. – a team that provides cattle producers with science-based genetics and chute-side reproductive service.

“I am excited to represent GENEX, a trusted provider of cattle genetics, and to help meet producers needs throughout the Southeast,” states Barnes. “Artificial insemination combined with genetics that match the individual herd’s goals is one way to make a cow herd more profitable, and the GENEX team is capable of assisting producers in doing that from genetic planning all the way through the execution of chute-side service.”

Barnes is a graduate of Kansas State University where he earned a degree in animal science and participated on the livestock judging team. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Liberty University. Previously Barnes worked for National Beef Packing Company in Kansas City and, most recently, served as farm manager for an Angus farm in North Carolina.
