CRI awards scholarships to children of employees

SHAWANO, Wisconsin — Cooperative Resources International (CRI), an agricultural cooperative headquartered in Shawano, Wisconsin, has awarded six high school seniors with $750 college scholarships.

"The CRI Founders' Scholarship was established in honor of the pioneering leaders of CRI's predecessor organizations," states Terri Dallas, Vice President of Communications. "The scholarship rewards children of CRI employees, recognizing young people within the CRI family who have demonstrated exceptional academic and leadership skills."

The recipients of the CRI Founders' Scholarship include: Riley Davis of Sharon, Wisconsin; Taylor Haggerty of Glenfield, New York; Marissa Hutchinson of Fostoria, Ohio; Seth Sousek of Shawano, Wisconsin; Cole Stuebs of Shawano, Wisconsin; and Jacob Viergutz of Clintonville, Wisconsin.

Davis will attend the University of Iowa to pursue a degree in pre-dental with an emphasis in biology. She is the daughter of Rodney Davis, region manager for AgSource (a part of CRI).

Haggerty plans to study meteorology at The College of Brockport, State University of New York. Her father, Douglas Haggerty, is a reproductive program senior technician for GENEX (a part of CRI).

Hutchinson's educational plans include studying political science at Xavier University. Her father, Jerry Hutchinson, is a regional lab manager for GENEX.

Sousek will pursue a degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is the stepson of Randy Schroeder, LN2 delivery manager for GENEX.

Stuebs plans to attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and later transfer to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to study engineering. Stuebs is the son of Debby Stuebs, distribution specialist for GENEX.

Viergutz plans to enroll in the farm operation program at Fox Valley Technical College. His mother, Connie Viergutz, is a CRI accounting supervisor.
