Total Fertility Package
SHAWANO, Wis. - Cooperative Resources International (CRI) is focused on creating the cattle pregnancies today's producers need. Through effective semen processing and evaluation procedures, dedication to research and development, and the high fertility standards held to the sires in the active lineup, CRI strives to provide producers with the best quality semen. Now, CRI is taking that goal a step further by beginning to market dairy semen in ¼ cc straws.
Improved fertility is the basis of the transition to ¼ cc straws. CRI has conducted extensive field trials with the results published in a highly respected U.S. scientific journal. The field trials show conception rates to be significantly higher for services performed with ¼ cc straws compared to semen packaged in the traditional ½ cc straws.
"The transition to ¼ cc straws clearly fits the cooperative's mission of maximizing the profitability of our members and customers because higher fertility semen is simply more profitable," Dr. Mike Kaproth, CRI Associate Vice President of Laboratories & Research explains. "For a more detailed look at the economic advantage of the increase in conception rate for your individual operation, ask your CRI distributor for an AchieveTM report."
The ¼ cc straw is simple to incorporate into current breeding programs as several CRI semen products - CRI GenChoiceTM and European semen - are already available in the ¼ cc straw package. Semen handling and thawing techniques remain the same, though a ¼ cc or universal artificial insemination gun is required.
The transition to ¼ cc straws is one more way CRI is creating the cattle pregnancies today's producers need. CRI is your profit partner.
CRI, a member-owned holding cooperative based in Shawano, Wisconsin, USA, is comprised of three subsidiaries: Central Livestock Association, AgSource Cooperative Services and Genex. The CRI Mission Statement summarizes the goal of CRI: "To provide products and services as effectively as possible to maximize the profitability of members and customers worldwide while maintaining a strong cooperative."
