Central Livestock Holds 4-H Youth Educational Session
The Central Livestock Association market in Zumbrota,
Minn., served as the host location for a Dec. 30 4-H livestock ethics
training program. Dakota County extension educator, Ann Sachs,
organized the program which had 75 to 80 students and parents in
attendance from Dakota, Goodhue and Wabasha counties.
During the session, Jeff Reed spoke with participants about CLA,
CRI and animal industry issues. Then John Hoernemann, Phil Olson,
farm store manager, and Reed provided tours of the market. The
program concluded with an educational session on ethics led by
Extension staff.
